Privacy policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains what information shhhzombies.com ("Shhh Zombies", "we") collects when you play, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Gameplay statistics

To improve the game, we record anonymous gameplay events, such as when a run starts, how many hordes you survive, how you died, and your answers to the optional game-over survey. These events carry a random session code. They do not include your name, email or any account, because the game has no accounts.

Saved in your browser

Your best score and your cookie choice are saved in your own browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visitors and understand how the game is played. Google Analytics may collect your IP address (shortened), browser type, device type, approximate location and pages visited. With your consent, it sets cookies to recognize returning visitors. If you choose "Essential only", Google Analytics runs without cookies and sends only limited, unidentified signals.

Advertising

The game is free because it shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, measure them and, with your consent, personalize them based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.

Your choices

• Cookie banner: choose "Accept" or "Essential only" the first time you visit. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and reload the page.
• Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
• Your rights: depending on where you live, including the EU, UK and some US states, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its use. Contact us and we will help.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we use analytics and advertising cookies based on your consent, and anonymous gameplay statistics based on our legitimate interest in improving the game.

Children

Shhh Zombies is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in some countries), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the game grows. The date at the top shows the latest version.
